“Security of the Museums in Post-Industrial Sites”

ICMS is happy to announce that the annual conference will take place on 15-17 September, 2021 at the Cracow Saltworks Museum in Wieliczka, Poland. Given the circumstances and sanitary restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic it will have a hybrid form: both on site and online participation will be possible.

The program of the event includes conference at the Cracow Saltworks Museum in Wieliczka and a workshop at Wawel Royal Castle in Krakow.

 

Call for papers

The aim of the ICMS 2021 annual conference is to exchange views on security management issues and contingency planning in museums located in post-industrial areas. This type of areas often has its limitations and special features that require specific solutions and determine functionality.

ICMS announces a call for papers for the annual conference, seeking for case studies illustrating the above theme. Presentations to be delivered on site are most welcome, however online speakers will also be considered.

Abstracts of proposed interventions are to be sent to icmssecretary40@gmail.com by 31^st of July, 2021.

Languages of the conference are English and Polish.

 

Save the date

Further organizational details, depending on the sanitary situation and international travel regulations, will be announced in mid-June 2021. Registration of participants will start in the end of June and will remain open until beginning of September. Conference is open to ICMS members only.

The conference will be financed by the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport of the Republic of Poland.
